Bukit Panjang Government High School National Police Cadet Corps
Formed in 1961, Bukit Panjang Government High School National Police Cadet Corps (BPGHS NPCC) grew over the years and finally managed to be a gold unit in 2005.
Still a part of Area 16 in 1997, BPGHS joined some competitions like the inter-unit soccer league for Area 16 then. During that year, 16 of our senior cadets were selected to participate in the NDP at the National Stadium. After which, BPGHS NPCC unit made a significant leap in performance from 1997 to 1998. More cadets were recruited and more achievements could be seen. In 1999, our unit managed to clinch a Bronze for the Unit Proficiency Award and 19 NCOs were given the NYAA Bronze by the then Defence Minister.
Moving on to year 2000, BPGHS NPCC unit managed to clinch the champion title for the Area 16 Inter-unit campcraft Competition. Over the years, BPGHS NPCC had grown from a small unit to what it is now. The Unit managed to clinch the Gold Award for UOPA 2005 and subsequently in year 2006 and year 2007.
